WEEKEND PROGRAM
We fit a lot into our weekends. Here are the important bits –
WHEN DOES IT START? Check-in is from 2pm Friday 5 November, join us for drinks in the bar from 6pm, met the sponsors, catch up with old friends and make some new ones! DJ PRU will be providing music.
FOOD: A big buffet breakfast is included and served both mornings in the restaurant. Enjoy a sumptuous, 3-course meal on Saturday night. Also included is a sausage sizzle Lunch on Sunday. All accommodations have kitchens if you want to cook for yourself Friday night or you can book into the restaurant for dinner.
THE SPORTY BITS: Saturday morning handicap golfers play in pairs - 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford, Non-handicap golfers play Modified Stroke. It’s not all about the golf though – just co-ordinate your outfits and win a prize! Sunday, all golfers play in the Team Ambrose. Tennis players will compete in doubles for the hotly contested Mavis Cup. Sunday is social tennis.
THE CIRCUS: Saturday Night we will visit THE CIRCUS and are expecting a few CLOWNS, LION TAIMERS, JUGGLERS and TIGHTROPE WALKERS! It’s a costume night and there is a Prize for best dressed. The fabulous DENISE HANLON will entertain, she’s an award-winning singer, an experienced emcee and a stand-up comic – and she does all 3 at once, before Presentation of golf and tennis awards, door prizes are drawn and dancing with DJ PRU into the small hours.
THE GOLF PRO: We are lucky to have JOANNE MILLS back as our Pro again this year! Jo plays on the Ladies European Golf Tour but will be back in Australia for this event. Everyone will have the opportunity to meet Jo and ask questions.

ABOUT DENISE HANLON: A regular at Mardi Gras events such as The Great Debate and Fair Day, Denise regularly shared the stage with talents such as Bob Downe, Libbi Gorr, Jean Kitson and Courtney Act.
In her 3 sold out one-woman shows – Denise Hanlon “The Bitch Can Sing” displayed the full extent of her musical and comedic talent. She’s danced with Malcolm Turnbull, sculled beer with The Bluehouse and sang ‘You’re the One that I Want’ with Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, however Denise is probably best known around Sydney as the irreverent and downright entertaining MC of the very successful ‘Dikes on Mikes’.
A talented singer, it just wouldn’t be Denise if her singing wasn’t interspersed with her colourful costume, quick one-liners and often involuntary, audience participation.

ABOUT JOANNE MILLS: Joanne has been a professional golfer for 16 years and in that time has competed on the Ladies European Tour. She also spent 4 years on the LPGA Tour in America. Joanne has had 2 victories on the LET when she won the 1997 German Open and the 2007 Wales Ladies Championship of Europe. She has had a top ten finish in the LPGA Championship (a Major) in the USA. On the ALPG Tour Joanne won the 2006 NSW Open held at her home club at Oatlands and has 5 other pro-am tournament wins. Joanne is a fan of most sports but particularly tennis and cricket. She supports Sydney FC soccer team and the Sydney Swan

Winter Weekend at Riverside Oaks
16th to 18th July 2010
Are you up for a Winter Weekend of Golf, Girls, Friendly Competition and Fun?
After much ado we are going back to Riverside Oaks to do it again. We were considering The Vintage and drove up there to meet with them but alas they have a "No Gathering Policy" which made it impossible for us to all get together in a house or villa.
So we contacted Riverside Oaks and they are more then happy to welcome us back with open arms and even made a generous offer of FREE Barbecue Dinner Saturday night in one of the massive houses!

Riverside Oaks
The course layout is designed for golfers of all standards offering a challenging, rewarding game in a quiet natural bushland setting.
To book Riverside Oaks Winter W/End send $120 deposit per person, by 20 May, make cheques payable to Albury Kent Travel, PO Box 92 Westgate NSW 2048. Balance payable by 26 June 2009. Keep a copy for your records.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Suggested Route along the M2
(Travel Time from city approximately 60 – 80 minutes) Follow the M2 and then onto the M7 briefly and take the Old Windsor Rd turnoff on your left. Turn right onto Old Windsor Rd and follow the signs to Parklea and Windsor. Continue along Old Windsor Rd which joins onto Windsor Rd, travel along until turning right at Mc Graths Hill onto Pitt Town Rd. Follow the signs through Pitt Town pointing towards Wisemans Ferry. From Pitt Town, Riverside Oaks is approximately 15 minutes on your left.
Suggested Route through Dural
(Travel time approx 25 minutes from Dural) Travel along Old Northern Road through Dural and Middle Dural, turn left onto Cattai Ridge Rd, and then right onto Halcrows Road, follow to end, turn right onto Cattai Rd. Riverside Oaks is five minutes along on left hand side.
