Kangaroo Valley Golf Course

The undulating fairways of this championship 18-hole golf course offers unexpected challenges. Jack Newton's original design has been extended and upgraded. Playing under the watchful gaze of the resident kangaroos, the course sweeps across the hilly valley terrain providing a tough test of golf. For women playing off the red tees the course is a par 74, 5155 metres with a great variety of holes and often challenging lies, this is a course that will test all aspects of your game, especially with a hangover, or is that just me?

It took a while to come up with this year’s party theme for Saturday night, it seemed we had been everywhere here on earth so where else to go but –  OUT IN SPACE!

WEEKEND RUNDOWN - We fit a lot into our weekends with not a lot of resting. Here are the important bits.  

THE START? Check-in is from 2pm Friday 2 November. For those of you who want to play a warm-up 18 holes on Friday we have negotiated a discounted price. Golf pro Jo Mills is running a clinic for only $25 for those of you interested in improving your game. At 6pm join us for a complimentary glass of wine in the bar with music from DJ PRU, kick-on with a few more drinks and perhaps a dance. Catch up with old friends and make some new ones! (If you want to dine Friday night make a reservation at the restaurant.) 

THE FOOD: A big buffet breakfast is included and served both mornings in the restaurant. Enjoy a delicious, 3-course meal on Saturday night. Also included is a light barbecue Lunch on Sunday. All accommodation has kitchens if you want to cook for yourself Friday night or book into the restaurant for dinner, we have arranged a special menu and price.

THE SPORTY BITS: Saturday morning handicap golfers play in pairs - 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford (pairs), Non-handicap golfers play Modified Stroke. Its not all about the golf though, you only have to wear co-ordinated outfits to win a prize! Tennis players will compete in doubles for the hotly contested Mavis Cup. All those not playing golf can compete in the Putting Competition and have a go at BOCCE. Be sure to visit Stroke Correction Centre (on course bar with all
proceeds going to  charity) overlooking 8th Tee up the hill near Cabin 29 - you’ll probably need a drink for the big drive needed to get over the dam. Spectators are also on hand to encourage the golfers. Sunday, all golfers play in the Team Ambrose and Tennis players enjoy social tennis. 

THE PARTY: Saturday Night is always great with good food, great music and as always, a theme. This year, we will be Out in Space and are expecting a few of the cast members from Star Wars, Lost in Space and Star Trek. It’s a costume night and there is a Prize for best dressed. We start with Presentation of golf and tennis awards, dinner is served and door prizes are drawn.  Then the fabulous DENISE HANLON will entertain us with what is always a fabulous and funny show www.denisehanlon.com.au - before dancing with DJ PRU way into the small hours.

THE GOLF PRO:  JOANNE MILLS our favourite Pro will be back again this year! Jo competes in LGPA and has just retired from Ladies European Golf Tour. Everyone will have the opportunity to meet Jo and ask questions about the Pro Circuit. Jo will be running a GOLF CLINIC late Friday afternoon for only $25. If you would like to attend please advise when you book as numbers are strictly limited.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you so so much for a great weekend at Kangaroo Valley.  The event was exceptionally well organised and everything appeared to work like clockwork.  You made newbies like Tanya and I feel very comfortable and welcomed.  The golf was fabulous, the meals and entertainment very well catered to all attendees.
You have done a great job and Tanya and I will definitely be back next year maybe still not brave enough to do a Western theme, but who knows with 12months to plan.  We are planning on getting another couple to join us so that we can support them through the newbie status next year as well.
Thanks again full credit to you both for your skills and attention to detail in making such a perfect weekend.

I just wanted to thank you for a great weekend. As a first timer who only new two people when I got there on Friday I was a little nervous when I arrived but from the time I got there I felt welcome and part of the group. 
The whole weekend was well organized and as a golfer loved the format and enjoyed both games and the company. I think I played the best golf I have played for a few years.
I will defiantly be going again next year. (Too bad I have to wait 12months)
